Venice, Italy - DAY THREE

We were up and packed by 9:00am so Luke checked out and then we had a coffee with the gang before we headed out to take the bus to the Busabout campsite. We were a little sad to go but didn't want to lose our deposit and be charged one night's stay by canceling the other site to stay with these guys longer.
We arrived at the new site at about 11:00am. The camping here was NOT as comfortable as the previous one as this one had real tents on wood floors. Not the nice room we had at the other site. We dropped our stuff, locked up the tent and headed to Venice via bus to explore the rest of Venice, not just the touristy stuff. We saw lovely little streets, small canals and many locals just hanging out in Piazza's we didn't know existed.
For a snack Luke and I stopped by a small shop where a gentleman was selling deep fried STUFF. We chose deep fried olives and deep fried mixed seafood. BAD move. While we enjoyed EATING the food, the food did not enjoy being inside us. Turned both of our stomachs. (I think the fact that there were whole little deep fried minnow thingys with their heads still on helped make us feel sick... I didn't eat any of the creepy little fish but Luke did... sans head of course).
After the snack we continued wandering and taking photos until it was time to head back to the campsite where we had a couple of beers at the bar and met "Stifler" (For those of you that have seen American Pie, you can imagine what this guy was like... Hilarious!). We hit the sack pretty early.
