Barcelona, Spain - DAY THREE

We headed out to have a cappuccino first thing and then proceeded to check out the main tourist areas.... the Sagrada Familia and Guell Park... both designed by Antoni Gaudi, a gentleman that went crazy building the still-unfinished cathedral. We were told that he became obsessed with the cathedral and one day when stepping back to have a look at its progress he was smacked by a car and killed.
On the way there we walked down the main street and took in the people and stands. They sell birds and bunnies and gerbils on the streets here... haven't seen that before....
The cathedral was stunning! We couldn't fit the whole thing in any photos and it is still unfinished but hopefully you'll get the idea. Truly amazing. A definite must-see. From there we took the subway to Guell Park... also wonderful. It was originally built for rich people to go to but eventually it was finished and the public was allowed to enter and it's free. You have to take about 8 escalators up the hill (In the middle of a regular street) because it would kill you to walk it its so steep. Once you reach the top you have views of the city (Not all that pretty, especially with the heat sitting over the view... its like 40 degrees or something ridiculous). This park also has the world's longest bench. We wandered around the park and then grabbed lunch and headed back to our area of the city. We went out for dinner, Chinese, it was great, and then went back to the "fairy bar" to take photos and have a drink before going back to the hostel to pack our stuff and hit the sack early as we were headed to Madrid at 8:00am the following morning.
